  ExpoHellas was initially introduced to the public in 2006 (it was running under the name xHellenica back then) and within six years, it managed to establish its appearance in 152 countries around the world (data: Google Analytics, year 2012).
  
  It presents to its thousands of visitors, Greek export companies with details, background story, products, as well as the possibility of a direct contact with these companies, either through their websites or via e-mail.
  
  ExpoHellas will even further increase its already impressive traffic levels and its effectiveness, opting at creating partnerships with the worlds various exhibition centers.

Domaine Skouras

Introduction

At Domaine Skouras you see, we don’t just make wine. We flirt with whites that turn heads. We fall in love with reds and pack them with finesse. We are romancing with rare bottlings that you will enjoy for -and in- years to come.

Equipped with energy, enthusiasm and experience and operating from our splendid facility at Malandreni, a few car-minutes away from Argos – we welcome you to taste our wines. For in tasting them you are not just discovering our unique terroir, our culture and our heritage. You get a taste and a glimpse of what makes us exciting people, dedicated wine-makers and such cordial hosts.

Brief history of the Domaine Skouras

Domaine Skouras was established in 1986 in Pyrgela, Argos by Dijon-trained oenologist George Skouras. In 1988 Skouras launched his pioneering Megas Oenos label. Pioneering because he was the first winemaker to blend Saint George, a Greek grape (aka Aghiorghitiko), with Cabernet Sauvignon and with illustrious results.

In 1996 a small winery was built at Ghymno, one of the villages inside the Nemea Appellation of Origin zone and in 2004, the Domaine Skouras started operating from its splendid facility at Malandreni.

Winery

Our winery is just under one and a half hours drive from Athens, strategically situated off the Athens-Tripoli highway, on the national road leading to Argos. It is environed by a predominantly eye-soothing green landscape stretching all the way to Mycenae in the north, to the city of Argos in the East and to the steep mountains in the South and West. The facility encompasses a spacious visitors wine-tasting, lecture and exhibition hall, with stunning views of the Argive plane and a magnificant cellar.

It is equipped with the latest in wine-making technology and has the following:

Stainless steel vats
Storage space at controlled temperature for bottles
Light to medium-toast French and American oak barrels

Today Domaine Skouras is at the forefront of Greek estates, full of momentum and with a sharp focus on its future.

Demand for its terroir-driven and estate-bottled wines is consistent both at home and around the world. For what makes these wines so popular is the fact that Skouras does not compromise quality or craftsmanship. In fact, there is always something better, something more, with each and every vintage, for each and every product.

The Vineyards

The Peloponnese -rich in ancient ruins from its glorious past- has been cultivated with vineyards for many centuries. The north-east -home to Mycenae and Epidaurus- is blessed vineyard territory. Indigenous grape varieties in Nemea, Argolida, Arcadia and Mantinia include Roditis and Moscofilero (white varieties) and Saint George (aka Aghiorghitiko, red variety). Cosmopolitan varieties – Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot – are also cultivated and display strong terroir.
